According to the Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, more than half of the settlements are at risk from various categories of geological processes. These disasters claimed three lives and damaged homes, agricultural land and village infrastructure. As a result of the landslide, it is estimated that more than 800 families will have to be relocated to a safer place.
